Currently, I am offering the following services:

Breastfeeding Counselor

Prenatal and/or postpartum counseling is available by arrangement for breastfeeding.  Breastfeeding education prior to your baby's birth can be helpful for first time moms.  Counseling can be useful in overcoming difficulties in the days and months after the baby's birth as well.  Breastfeeding is best for your baby and completely natural!  I am happy to provide encouragement and support.

$20 per hour -- hours must be previously arranged, although I can be available for special circumstances if counseling is needed shortly after the baby arrives.

Birth Doula

I will have an initial meeting with you, free of charge, where you can get a chance to find out if you are comfortable with me and we can go over the terms of my contract.  If hired as your birth doula, I will do at least two visits with you before your birth.  These visits will be used for us to get to know each other better, to discuss your goals and desires for your birth, any concerns you might have, an overview of relaxation and comfort measures during labor, and to write a birth plan.  I will be continuously present during your labor and delivery and will make sure you are comfortably settled in the first few hours after the baby is born.  During your labor, aside from supporting you emotionally and physically, I will take pictures upon request and will take notes which can aid you in writing your birth story for your personal records, if you choose to do so.  Additionally, two postpartum visits are included, during which I can help with new baby/parenting questions, breastfeeding, babywearing, cleaning, laundry, etc.  I will also be available by phone or email for any questions you might have, and I have a number of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting books available for borrowing.

$500 to include two pre-natal meetings, labor & delivery, two postpartum meetings.
Postpartum Doula

As a postpartum doula, I am available for any practical help you might need after you give birth.  This could include light cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking, laundry, help with other children in your home and/or care of your new baby (bathing, breastfeeding help, adjusting to motherhood, babywearing, etc).

$20 per hour -- hours must be previously arranged.
